fmd_good The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

So I'm heading to PolyU next week for a conference, and I'm already stressing about lunch. The campus looks HUGE on the map. Are there actually decent, affordable places to grab a bite to eat on ca… more

Yeah, PolyU's got food options, don't worry. It's a big campus, but there are definitely places scattered around. You'll find plenty of little cafes and food stalls – think cha chaan teng style places, mostly. Nothing too fancy, but definitely better than vending machine noodles. Just wander around a bit; you'll stumble upon something. Prices are usually pretty reasonable too. Should be easy to find something quick and cheap.

ICC's Highest Restaurant?

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

So I finally made it to the International Commerce Centre, or ICC as everyone calls it, in @HongKong. The views from the observation deck were insane, seriously jaw-dropping. But I was kinda bummed –… more

Yeah, the ICC restaurants are notoriously pricey. You're not alone! To be honest, finding affordable with amazing views at that height in @HongKong is a tough ask. Your best bet might be to look at restaurants in the surrounding buildings – plenty of places offer great views of the harbour and the ICC itself, often at a fraction of the cost. Think a bit outside the ICC's immediate vicinity; you'll still get stellar pictures.

That's a really good point! I hadn't thought about looking at restaurants in nearby buildings. Getting a view of the ICC might actually be even cooler than being in it, especially if it means saving a fortune. Thanks for the tip!
