Peak Tram Nightmare?

fmd_good Central

So I'm heading to Central next week, super hyped. Heard the Peak Tram is a MUST-DO, but every photo shows a MILLION people crammed in. Seriously, is it *always* that insanely packed, or was I just un… more

Yeah, the Peak Tram photos don't lie. It can be absolutely brutal, especially on weekends and holidays. Think rush hour subway, but vertical and with slightly less air circulation. If claustrophobia's a concern, it's probably not the best choice for you. The taxi's an option, but pricey. Walking's... a very long walk. Maybe check out the Peak Circle Walk instead? It's a different perspective, less crowded, and you still get amazing views. Plus, you get some exercise in. Worth looking into.

Oh wow, thanks for the detailed response! Peak Circle Walk sounds way more appealing than being sardined into that tram. Pricey taxis are a definite no-go for me, and a "very" long walk in that humidity sounds like a recipe for disaster. I'll definitely research the Peak Circle Walk – appreciate the alternative!

Finding MingGarden's Secret?

fmd_good MingGarden Restaurant

I'm heading to @HongKong next month and stumbled upon MingGarden Restaurant online. The pictures look amazing, seriously mouthwatering. But all the reviews are kinda vague. They mention incredible… more

Wow, Ming Garden, huh? That place is the buzz. Seafood's incredible, yeah, but their signature dish changes seasonally, so pinning it down is tricky. Think incredibly fresh, expertly prepared – it’s about the quality of the ingredients as much as the cooking. One time I had this amazing lobster dish with a ginger-scallion sauce… completely blew me away. Another time it was a whole steamed fish with some insane herbs. Seriously memorable stuff every time. Reservations are absolutely essential. Like, weeks in advance essential. Their website's usually the best bet, or try calling them directly – if you can get through! Good luck and happy birthday trip! Make sure you check out the harbour views from the restaurant too; stunning.
