Yeah, the Mid-Levels are a maze! You definitely only saw a fraction of it. Locals often use the back alleys and smaller side streets – they're not always on maps, and sometimes it's more a case of "knowing where to look" than following a specific path. Think less "shortcut" and more "navigating by instinct". You'll stumble upon them if you're willing to get a little lost – which, honestly, is half the fun.

Just wander. Seriously. Central's a maze, especially around Hollywood Road and its side streets. Don't bother with a map, let yourself get delightfully, deliciously lost. The best food finds are usually where the locals eat – look for places packed with people who aren't tourists. And yeah, following your nose is a great strategy. You'll probably end up somewhere amazing, even if you have no clue where you are. Bonus points if you find a place with a queue – that usually means good stuff.
