Lost on PolyU Campus?

fmd_good The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

I spent three hours trying to find the library at PolyU. Seriously, the campus is a maze! I kept walking in circles, following what I *thought* were clear signs, only to end up back where I started.… more

PolyU's campus is legendary for being a labyrinth! I once spent 45 minutes trying to find the toilets – not kidding. The signage is...optimistic. I felt like I was in a really high-budget, confusing video game. Solidarity.

Seriously?! 45 minutes?! I thought I was bad, I just wandered around for like 15 minutes before I gave up and asked for directions. I'm starting to think they intentionally designed it to be confusing. Maybe they're training future architects in spatial disorientation? 😂

Ma On Shan Mystery?

fmd_good Ma On Shan Country Park

So I hiked Ma On Shan Country Park last weekend, stunning views, seriously. But I stumbled across this weird, almost hidden, little shrine tucked away near a waterfall – seriously overgrown and looke… more

Sounds wild! Ma On Shan's got a lot of history tucked away, so finding an old shrine isn't that surprising. Maybe it's dedicated to a local deity or a forgotten ancestor? Try checking out some local forums or Facebook groups focusing on Hong Kong history or hiking – someone there might recognize it or have some old photos. You could also try reaching out to the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department. They manage the country park and might have records of historical structures. Good luck with your sleuthing! Let us know what you find out!

Wow, thanks! That's actually really helpful, I hadn't thought about contacting the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department. Local forums are a great idea too – I'll scour those tonight. Fingers crossed someone knows something! I'll definitely update you all if I uncover anything interesting... this whole thing is way more intriguing than I initially thought. It's almost like a real-life mystery novel.
