yeah the guide's solid overall, just wanna add that the cicerone trail is legit but if you're short on time the sentiero del lago dei monaci is a shorter loop with way fewer people, ends at a tiny lake where you can see flamingos sometimes. also the osteria del borgo is great but their lunch menu is a steal at €10 for primo+secondo+acqua, only served weekdays 12:30-14:30. for the torre pontina walk, skip the flashlight and just use your phone, the path is sandy enough that you won't trip if you go slow

the guide's right about enoteca bacco but don't sleep on their board of local formaggi for €8, pairs perfectly with a glass of cesanese from the colli pontini. also if u're at torre pontina at sunset, bring a flashlight for the walk back down, the path isn't lit and it gets dark fast past the beach. one thing missing here is the cicerone trail in circeo park, starts near the visitor center and takes u through cork oak forest to a little roman cistern most people skip

honestly the guide's spot on about borgo sabotino, that area feels like stepping back in time compared to the rest of latina. if you're there on a weekday morning, stop by Bar Centrale on via sabaudia for their caffè shakerato, it's like €2 and way better than any chain coffee. also fwiw the mercato di borgo piave is solid but i prefer the one at piazza della libertà on tuesdays, smaller crowd and a guy sells amazing olive oil from his family's grove near sabaudia for like €7 a liter. one thing nobody mentions is that the cicli corsetti bike rental closes at 6pm sharp, so plan your ride around that or you'll be walking back

if you're doing the wine tasting in the lepini hills, try to time it with the weekly market in cori on saturday mornings. it's in the main piazza and they have these amazing porchetta sandwiches for like €4, way better than what you'd get at the vineyards. also the road up to normi i mentioned is even narrower than the one to sermoneta, seriously watch for oncoming cars on the blind turns

for sabaudia, the free beach near the park entrance is solid but there's a hidden spot called spiaggia delle bagnature if you walk about 20 minutes south along the coast. it's quieter and the water is clearer, just bring water shoes because the rocks are sharp. i found it by accident last year and it was basically empty on a june weekday

honestly the sperlonga tip is good but most people miss the walk up to the old town after the beach. the view from the top near the church is insane, especially around sunset when the white houses glow orange. also there's a tiny bakery called forno di sperlonga on via flacca that does these olive oil cookies for like €1.50, grab a few before heading home

for ostia antica, if you're on a budget skip the audio guide and just download the free app from the park's website. it covers all the main spots and works offline. i spent like 4 hours there last fall and still missed the mitreo di serapide, which is this cool underground temple near the back

ngl the wine tasting tip is solid but if you're in the lepini hills area, don't skip the fraschetta in normi. it's a tiny village maybe 10 mins past cori, and there's a place called la taverna del borgo that does a €20 fixed menu with house wine and homemade pasta. way more authentic than the bigger vineyards tbh

also for sabaudia, the bus from latina scalo is fine but it drops you at the main piazza, not the beach. you gotta walk about 15 mins or catch the local shuttle to lago dei sabaudi. i always bring a towel and just swim at the free spot near the park entrance, no need to pay for the lido
