Therapist: can my health insurance just say no...?
I have called every single therapist from the TK search results - no availability.
I called 116117 months ago and they couldn't find an appointment. They updated me that they're "still looking" - but when they do find one, it's gonna be a one time consultation and not long term, so I'm not sure that'll actually be any progress.
I have called the TK appointment number and they just flat out say no - "we don't make appointments for psychotherapists".
I accidentally found a private therapist (TK actually listed him by mistake), and he said some clients were able to get TK to cover treatment. He said: make a list of all the therapists you've called, show them the PTV 11, and insist that they either find a therapist or accept reimbursement for a private one. I have read stories from people doing this on this subreddit.
I spoke to TK again today, and they said it doesn't work like that. If the PTV 11 has an "urgency code", they can give me a priority appointment and possibly approve private treatment. If not, all I can do is wait a few months and try calling every therapist on their website again until I get lucky (yes, she literally said that). I can't find any urgency code on my form. I'm not sure what would warrant an urgency code, but I would imagine suicidal attempts or self-harm, and that being on sick leave is not enough...?
So in a nutshell, TK lists no options in their network, refuses to help make an appointment, and refuses to reimburse me for a private practitioner. The vibe I get from TK is that they just want me to give up.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?
Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.
if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point
honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
