Found car keys on the ground, how to return it to owner?

I found car keys on the ground of Anita berber Park. What is the best way to proceed to return it to its owner? Polizei maybe? I found car keys on the ground of Anita berber Park. What is the best way to proceed to return it to its owner? Polizei maybe?

real talk, check the bvg app or the local "nebenan" app first. someone probably posted about losing them there before you even picked them up. i once found keys at monbijoupark and the owner had a "lost keys" post up within the hour. also, if it's a transponder key, any volkswagen or bmw dealer can read the chip and sometimes they have the owner's contact on file from service records, worth a call before you walk anywhere. worst case, the fundbüro is reliable but slow, and honestly the alexanderplatz polizei will just send you to the same place.

If the keys have a car brand logo, check the fob for a tiny key code or serial number, sometimes scratched into the plastic. A locksmith or the ADAC shop near Rosenthaler Platz can sometimes trace that back to a dealer, though it's a slow process. You could also swing by the café at the park's edge and ask the staff if anyone's asked about lost keys, they often get that kind of query. Otherwise, the Fundbüro at Platz der Luftbrücke is the standard route, just make sure you get a receipt with the date and a description of the keys so you can prove you handed them in if the owner comes looking.

Drop them at the nearest Fundbüro, the one for Mitte is at Platz der Luftbrücke 6, it's a bit of a trek from the park but they're the official lost and found. The Polizei will take them too, but they usually just forward everything to the Fundbüro anyway, so you'd save a step. If there's a key fob with a brand logo, you could also try the nearest dealership or garage, sometimes they can ID the car from the transponder chip. Just don't leave them on a bench or post a photo online with any identifiable details, that's how you get scammers.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
