honestly the trash situation is something anyone can chip at. go to any park on a sunday and you'll see bottles and takeout containers everywhere - just bringing a bag and picking up what's around your bench makes a visible difference. the city has those pfandringe on some bins now too, which helps reduce the rummaging mess if you make sure your empties go in there instead of the general bin
