Ich habe auch keinen Bock die ganze Nacht mit Totschläger im Flur zu stehen und die Wilden Weddinger Horden zu verprügeln.
Oder soll ich alle meine teuren Wertsachen, die ich auf eBay nicht verkauft bekomme in den Keller packen, dass sie geklaut werden und mir die Versicherung meinen nächsten Urlaub bezahlt?

Wenn du wirklich heute Nacht was machen willst und kein Bock auf Ärger mit der Hausverwaltung hast: Bau einfach dein eigenes Kellerschloss aus, indem du von innen einen dicken Riegel oder eine stabile Kette mit Vorhängeschloss anbringst. Solange du keine Löcher in die Tür oder den Rahmen bohrst und alles morgen wieder abbaust, kann dir keiner Sachbeschädigung vorwerfen. Die Hausverwaltung wird sich eher freuen, dass du die Bude sicherst, als dass sie dich verklagt. Und falls du in Wedding wohnst, der Schlüsseldienst an der Seestraße hat oft auch an Feiertagen Notdienst, aber das kostet dich dann halt 50 Euro aufwärts.
Der alte Trick mit dem Fahrradschloss durch die Kellerklappe oder die Türklinken funktioniert oft, wenn ihr noch so alte Türen habt. Einfach von innen durch die Griffe fädeln, dann kommt niemand rein, ohne dass du was anbohren musst. Ist keine dauerhafte Lösung, aber für die nächsten zwei Nächte reichts, bis der Schlüsseldienst kommt.
Falls der Flur eine Deckenlampe hat, schraub die Birne raus. Im Dunkeln suchen die sich meist das nächste Haus mit beleuchtetem Keller, bei euch in Wedding ist die Konkurrenz ja groß. Und leg nicht alles auf eine Karte mit der Versicherung, die prüfen bei Mehrfachdiebstahl schnell, ob du grob fahrlässig warst.
Ehrlich, die Versicherungsidee ist nicht dumm, aber die wollen oft einen Nachweis, dass du das Schloss nicht selbst geknackt hast. Warte lieber nicht ab, bis die Bude leer ist.
Kauf dir ein massives Vorhängeschloss und ein stabiles Bügelschloss für deine Kellertür, das ist kein fest verbautes Teil und damit keine Sachbeschädigung. Wenn die Hausverwaltung meckert, kannst du es nach den Feiertagen wieder abmachen, aber bis dahin hast du Ruhe.

solid breakdown, i'd add that the Schöneberg mention is spot-on but the guide leaves out how good the U1 line is for getting around. from Nollendorfplatz you're at Warschauer Strasse in like 10 minutes and Kottbusser Tor in maybe 6, so you can hit both Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain without a transfer. my partner and i stayed near Akazienstrasse last year and paid 95 a night for a quiet room with a balcony, way better value than anything in Mitte. the Akazienstrasse itself has a couple of great italian delis and a small cinema that shows english-language films, worth a lazy afternoon
