Lost in Keyfi Sefa's Menu

It's HUGE. I spent like 15 minutes just trying to decipher what half the things were. I ended up ordering something that looked vaguely familiar, but it came out looking nothing like the picture. Seriously, what's the deal with the Turkish-German fusion dishes? Are there any secret menu items or dishes locals swear by that aren't on the massive menu? I need help navigating this culinary labyrinth!!

Yeah, Keyfi Sefa's menu is a beast! I feel your pain. It's less about secret menu items and more about knowing what kind of thing you want. Their "mixed grill" plates are generally safe bets, you get a good sampling of their meats. Also, don't be afraid to ask your server for recommendations; they're usually pretty good at guiding newbies through the chaos. And honestly, even if it doesn't look exactly like the picture, it's usually still delicious. Just go with the flow, embrace the adventure, and enjoy the amazing atmosphere! You'll probably discover a new favorite dish that way.

That's great advice! I hadn't thought about just asking the server, I was so overwhelmed by the sheer volume of options I kinda froze. Mixed grill sounds perfect for a first-timer like me. Thanks! I'll definitely try that next time. I'm kinda hungry just thinking about it now...

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
