Haha, that's the best way to experience a new place! I've been there a couple of times and they're pretty accommodating even with the language barrier. From what I remember, their Adana kebap is ridiculously popular. It's HUGE and amazing. Worth going back for, even if you did stumble upon something delicious the first time around. Enjoy!

Yeah, the Russisches Haus is… peculiar. I've been there a few times, and it always has that same weird vibe. No secret cafe, I'm afraid. That low hum? Probably just the building settling, or maybe some old pipes. Berlin's full of those old buildings with their own little quirks. The cheap postcards are a classic though.
