Lost in Keyfi Sefa's Menu

Like, seriously huge. I spent twenty minutes just trying to decipher what half the dishes were, and even then I felt like I was only scratching the surface. I ended up ordering something safe, but I'm kicking myself now. What's the absolute MUST-TRY dish at Keyfi Sefa that I should have ordered? I need to know for my next visit... I'm determined to conquer that menu next time!

honestly i think you're overthinking it a bit. the menu is huge but most of the stuff is variations on the same few things - meat, cheese, dough. my go-to is the adana kebab, it's spiced minced lamb on a skewer, comes with grilled peppers and tomato on the side. the char on it is perfect, not dry at all.

one thing nobody mentioned yet is the lahmacun. it's basically turkish pizza, thin crispy dough with minced meat and herbs. get two of those and a side of their garlic yogurt dip, it's a solid meal for under 15 euro. way less overwhelming than trying to decode a full kebab plate

ngl the real move is the ali nazik. it's grilled eggplant puree with chunks of lamb on top, the smokiness from the eggplant works with the meat better than you'd expect. most people walk right past it because it sounds weird on paper but it's one of those dishes you'll crave later

also if you're there with another person just get the mixed grill platter for two. it's like 28 euro and you get a bit of everything without having to pick. the sucuklu yumurta is a solid breakfast option too if you ever go earlier in the day, spicy sausage and eggs with bread for soaking up the oil

the cold appetizers are honestly where the menu shines and everyone skips them. get the ezme and the haydari, the ezme is this spicy tomato and pepper paste that wakes up your whole mouth and the haydari is a thick herbed yogurt that cools it back down. they come with warm bread and it costs like 4 euro each

pair those with a mercimek corbasi (lentil soup) and you've got a meal that's way more interesting than just another kebab plate. the soup has a little mint and lemon in it, really wakes you up

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
