Finding a Space at Schillerpark?

I've booked my hotel, flights are all set, but I'm stressing about parking. The Parkgarage Schillerpark Center looks like my best bet, location-wise, but I've heard horror stories about finding a free spot in that underground maze at peak times. My concert's on a Saturday night, so I'm worried about circling around for ages before finding a spot, then spending an eternity trying to get back to my car after the show. Anyone got any tips on navigating that place, especially on a busy night? Any secret entrances or less crowded times?

Parking at Schillerpark on a Saturday night? Yeah, that's a gamble. The Parkgarage is convenient, but you're right, it's a nightmare if you arrive late. My advice? Consider public transport. @Berlin's U-Bahn is pretty efficient, and the Velodrom is well-connected. That way, you avoid the whole parking stress entirely. If you absolutely must drive, try arriving super early, maybe even hours before the concert. Or, look at other garages a bit further out, maybe even one near a U-Bahn station so you can still use public transport for the last leg. Failing that, prepare for a lengthy parking hunt and some serious post-concert maneuvering. Good luck!

Thanks for the tips! Hours before the concert is a bit extreme, haha, but the U-Bahn idea is definitely something I hadn't considered. I'll check out how well-connected the Velodrom is. Failing that, the further-out garage with a U-Bahn link sounds like a solid backup plan. Appreciate the realistic advice, sounds like I should prepare for a bit of a quest for parking either way!

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
