Is the breakfast truly THAT good, or is it just hype? I'm preparing myself for potential disappointment, you know? Seriously considering skipping dinner the night before just to fully appreciate it. It's a big commitment, breakfast buffets are!

I've stayed there a few times and the breakfast is genuinely good, but the real draw is the honeycomb station. They bring out a whole frame and you scrape honey straight off it, which is pretty unique for a hotel buffet in Berlin. Just don't build it up as a life event, it's a great spread but you'll enjoy it more if you show up hungry rather than starving.

the buffet is legit but don't skip dinner just for it, you'll be miserable and that kills the vibe. the real move is the afternoon tea they do in the lobby if you're around for that, way more chill and the scones are fresh. also the view from the rooftop bar at sunset beats the breakfast window view any day, just saying

honestly the breakfast is good but the real play is timing it right. go around 9:30 on a weekday when the morning rush thins out and you can snag a table by the window without fighting for it. the honeycomb station is legit though, they bring out a whole comb and you scrape it yourself. skip the coffee from the machine and ask for a proper one from the barista, it's included and way better.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
