Is Intermezzo's secret menu real?

It was raining cats and dogs, and I was soaked. The waiter, a guy with a seriously impressive mustache, just smiled and handed me a steaming mug of something delicious, tasted like cinnamon and magic. The menu was... interesting. Very few items listed, mostly vague descriptions. I heard whispers about a secret menu, something only the regulars knew about. I ordered the "surprise me" option and got the best pasta I've ever had. But...was that secret menu a real thing, or just a local myth? I'm dying to know if there's a way to actually unlock it!

Nah, it's totally a thing. The "surprise me" option is basically the key. Keep going back, be friendly, chat with the mustache guy, he's a legend. Order the surprise again a few times, maybe try subtly mentioning you heard whispers... eventually, he'll wink and hand you a separate, smaller menu. It's not flashy, just a handwritten thing. Think of it as a test of loyalty, not a riddle to solve. Good luck! You'll need it for the Spätzle.

Wow, a handwritten menu?! That's awesome. A test of loyalty, huh? I like that. Mustache guy sounds intimidating, but I'm definitely up for the challenge. Spätzle, you say? Bring it on! Thanks for the tips, I'll report back with my findings. Fingers crossed!

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
