Crazy Checkout Lines?

It was a Tuesday afternoon, the place was buzzing, people grabbing last-minute stuff for dinner. I was looking for some decent German mustard, you know, the kind that'll make your sinuses clear, but the sheer volume of shoppers made it feel like a rugby scrum in aisle three. Found the mustard eventually, of course, but the checkout? A total nightmare. Should of gone to Aldi next door. So, what's the secret to beating the rush at those Netto's?

Just go to the netto on leopoldplatz if you're near wedding, it's way calmer than the ones in the busy kiez spots. Also, the secret's really about timing it between 2 and 4 pm on weekdays when the lunch rush is done but before people finish work.

lol the netto wars are real here. if you're near a boule bar or a späti that sells good mustard, skip the supermarket entirely. the one at boxhagener platz has a little deli counter that stocks some artisan stuff from the markthalle, no queue at all. otherwise yeah, the self-checkout is the only move at netto, but half the time it glitches out and u need a worker anyway. just go to the aldi next door like u said, it's less of a circus.

the netto near me in neukölln is chaos no matter what time you go tbh but i've noticed the one on hermannstraße is actually okay after 8pm. also if you're after proper mustard skip the supermarket altogether and go to a turkish shop for that stuff, way better selection and no line at all

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
