Finding a Spot?

Schillerpark Center itself has a small lot, but it fills up fast on weekends, usually by 10 or 11am. If you're aiming for a relaxed morning, try street parking on the residential streets west of the park, like Malplaquetstraße. It's free on Saturdays and you can often find a spot if you get there before 9am. There's a decent roastery called Bonanza Coffee on Torstraße that's a short walk from there, much better than the chain places near the center.

the real move is to just take public transit and park at a ringbahn station like gesundbrunnen or wedding s-bahn. free parking there on weekends and it's one stop to schillerpark, saves u the headache entirely. plus u can grab a coffee at the little kiosk inside gesundbrunnen station, not fancy but it's quick and u won't be stressed about ur car

weekend mornings in wedding are actually pretty chill if u know where to look. try the side streets around nettelbeckplatz, it's like a 5 min walk to schillerpark and i've never had trouble finding a spot there before 9am on a saturday. there's a tiny spot called cafe kotti on lüderitzstraße that opens at 8 and does a mean kardamom bun with their coffee, way better than queuing at bonanza tbh. just watch out for the anwohnerparken zones, they're clearly marked but easy to miss if u're not looking

Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
