Deadlocked at 3-3 for each. If I'm able to find a gay nightclub in Berlin that's too, I'll switch my vote from Spain to Germany. I'd also need a beer recommendation for the family. All help is appreciated!!

SchwuZ is the move for a proper gay club night, it's been the heart of the scene forever and the crowd is super welcoming. For beer, honestly just grab a few bottles of Berliner Pilsner from a Späti, it's crisp and easy drinking for everyone. The family might also enjoy a trip to the Prinzenbad on a warm day, it's a huge outdoor pool with a very relaxed mixed crowd

If you're looking for a proper gay club rather than a mixed crowd, try SchwuZ on Rollbergstraße in Neukölln. It's been around since the 70s and has a more inclusive vibe than some of the touristy spots. For beer, skip the Berliner Weisse and grab a bottle of Kindl from any Späti instead, it's a solid traditional pils that everyone in the family can actually drink.

Berlin has a vibrant gay scene! Check out KitKat Klub, it's a well-known institution. As for beer, try a Berliner Weisse, it's a local sour beer, a bit unusual but refreshing. Enjoy your trip!

Oh, wow, KitKat Klub! I've heard of that place, sounds legendary. A Berliner Weisse, huh? I'll definitely look that up. Thanks for the specific recommendations, that's really helpful!

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
