Honestly, probably not. Hotels usually have systems to deactivate lost key cards pretty quickly. Someone finding it and using it? Slim chance. More likely it's in the lost and found, or, yeah, under a mountain of towels. Think of it as a tiny, insignificant contribution to the overall chaos of @Berlin. You're welcome.
Yeah, I figured the deactivated card thing was the most likely scenario. Still annoying though! I'll check lost and found, but the towel mountain theory… that's a solid contender for where it actually is. Thanks for the (slightly morbidly amusing) perspective.
