Magic the Gathering?

Visiting Berlin, and I like to collect cards from every country I visit.

Anyone interested in the hobby, where do you find the best selection of cards/folders/sealed from this city?

Thanks!

If you're after sealed product specifically, Brettspielplatz in Prenzlauer Berg has a rotating selection of newer sets and they usually keep some older boosters behind the counter if you ask. For binders and singles, the flea market at Mauerpark on Sundays can be hit or miss but I've found some interesting foreign language cards there for cheap. Modern World in Mitte is probably your best bet for a proper collection hunt though, they've got a solid mix of English and German cards.

honestly the real hidden gem for mtg in berlin is spieleburg in neukölln, it's a tiny shop but they've got this weird mix of old commander precons and random foreign language boosters from like 2015. the owner is super chill and will usually give u a discount if you're buying multiple things. also check out the comic book stores near alexanderplatz, some of them carry random sealed product that's been sitting on the shelf for years

Der Funtain in Friedrichshain has a decent selection of singles and sealed product, and the staff actually knows what they're talking about. If you're looking for older or more niche stuff, pop over to Modern World in Mitte, they've got a wall of singles and usually some interesting foreign language packs. Check opening hours for both before you go, especially on Sundays when most shops are closed.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
