Ich hab das genau so gemacht vor zwei Monaten, allerdings mit einem Berlin-Abo, das ich schon 14 Monate hatte. Die BVG-Mitarbeiterin am Schalter im U-Bahnhof Hermannplatz meinte, dass "Jahreszahler" tatsächlich alle sind, die ihr Abo mindestens ein Jahr lang bezahlt haben, also nach Ablauf der Mindestlaufzeit. Wenn du noch in den ersten 12 Monaten steckst, wirst du wohl leider nicht als Jahreszahler geführt, da kannst du nur über die Hotline ein Sonderkündigungsrecht beantragen, falls du umziehst oder dein Job wegfällt. Ohne triftigen Grund bleibt dir nur, bis zum Ende der Mindestlaufzeit zu warten und dann den Wechsel über dein BVG-Konto zu machen.

ja, das mit den 12 monaten ist der knackpunkt. wenn du dein berlin-abo erst seit paar monaten hast, bist du normalerweise noch in der mindestlaufzeit und kannst nicht einfach so wechseln. die bvg meint mit "jahreszahler" eher leute, die schon länger zahlen, nicht die mindestlaufzeit an sich. ich hab letztens bei der bvg-hotline angerufen, die haben gesagt, dass man bei neueren abos oft bis zum ende der 12 monate warten muss, es sei denn, man hat einen besonderen grund. vielleicht einfach mal im bvg-kundencenter am alexanderplatz nachfragen, die sind da manchmal flexibler als die hotline

also wichtig zu wissen: die bvg meint mit "jahreszahler" tatsächlich leute, die ihr abo schon länger als 12 monate haben, nicht die mindestlaufzeit an sich. ich hab mal nachgefragt, weil ich selbst unsicher war, und die hotline meinte, dass man bei einem abo unter 12 monaten nur mit einem sonderkündigungsgrund rauskommt, z.b. umzug oder jobverlust. aber ehrlich gesagt, die leute im bvg-center am zoo sind meist hilfreicher als die hotline, die sagen dir direkt, ob du ne chance hast. falls du keinen grund hast, würd ich einfach bis zum ende der 12 monate warten und dann online wechseln, das geht dann relativ schnell

i'd say skip the big names and look at studiowest in prenzlauer berg, they do amazing japanese style but the waitlist is like 6 months. if u want something quicker, the artists at bitterlich tattoo in mitte are super underrated, especially for fine line. and honestly, walk past the instagram hype, go to a shop in person and ask to see their portfolio book, that's where the real stuff is.

The Berlin tattoo scene is pretty spread out, so it depends on what style you're after. For fine line and minimalist work, I'd look at A Fine Line in Kreuzberg, they're booked out weeks in advance for a reason. If you want bold traditional, check out Die Wilde Ecke in Neukölln, they've been around forever and the artists there are solid. Honestly, your best bet is to scroll through Instagram and find someone whose healed work you like, not just the fresh photos, because that's where the real skill shows.

One thing nobody's mentioned yet is the tattoo convention at Arena Berlin, usually in early summer. It's a good way to see a bunch of styles in one afternoon and talk to artists face to face without committing to a shop. I found my guy there three years ago, he works out of a tiny studio near Boxhagener Platz and does amazing neo-traditional, but he rarely posts on Instagram so you'd never discover him otherwise. Bring cash if you go, a lot of the booths only take that on the day.
