yeah so if ur willing to leave the ring a bit, check out Vintage & Rags near Warschauer, they get fur in spurts and it's more curated than humana, plus the lady who runs it knows her stuff and'll tell u if something's actually vintage or just old. also, flea markets are lowkey the move, raw and raw at boxhagener platz on sundays, i've scored a legit 70s mink there for like 40 euro, just gotta go early before the dealers grab everything. one thing tho, check the lining and smell, a lot of those older furs have that musty basement thing that's a pain to get out, and don't sleep on the leather repair shops for a quick fix if the zipper's busted

honestly, hit up Made in Berlin on Torstraße, they've got a solid rack of fur coats mixed in with the rest. prices are a bit up there but the quality's real, not that fast fashion fake stuff. if you're on a budget, Humana on Frankfurter Tor is chaos but worth digging through, saw a few nice shearling pieces last time i was in. also check out Picknweight in Friedrichshain, they restock randomly so it's a gamble but when they've got fur it's usually cheap. avoid the touristy spots near Hackescher Markt, way overpriced for what's basically a costume shop.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
