Weiß jemand von ner coolen Gay Party an Halloween?

Like whichever club that isn't Schwuz Like whichever club that isn't Schwuz

Besser than Cocktail is probably the party at ://about blank on the 31st. They do a queer Halloween thing every year with a different theme, last year it was a kind of dark cabaret vibe. Entry is usually around 12 Euro before midnight and it gets busy fast, so show up early. It's in Friedrichshain too, right off Warschauer.

honestly if you want something a bit more off the radar, try monk in schöneberg. it's a tiny bar on goltzstraße, not a club, but they go all out on halloween with decorations and a costume thing. the crowd is mostly gay men but it's super friendly and not pretentious at all. drinks are like 5-6 euro and they stay open till like 4am if the vibe is right. way more lowkey than schwuz or ://about blank

if u want something more chill and less of a trek, kleine reise in neukölln has a halloween party that's queer-friendly without being explicitly labeled as a gay party. the crowd skews artsy and mixed, drinks are cheap for berlin standards like 4 euro for a beer. they usually do a costume contest with a small prize, nothing major but it's fun

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
