yeah if you want zero attitude, check out Renate in Friedrichshain. it's got that chaotic, DIY vibe where people show up in whatever they've been wearing all day, and the age range is super mixed, like 20 to 50 sometimes. the door is chill but they do kick out obvious tourists who act clueless, so just don't be loud about taking photos.

another one that flies under the radar is Køpi, which is technically a squat in Friedrichshain. it's not a club per se, more like a basement party that happens most weekends, super grungy, no dress code at all, and the crowd is mostly locals who know each other. drinks are basically at cost, and you'll prob hear more punk or experimental techno than what you'd get at Sisyphos. just be aware it's cash only and the toilets are a bit rough.

if you're okay going a bit further, try about blank's smaller nights, but honestly Renate is the easiest pick if you want that "no one cares" energy without the tourist filter. just show up before 1am or you might wait in line for ages.

If you're looking for something that completely ignores dress codes and age, check out ://about blank in Friedrichshain. It's a former industrial space, very raw, and the door policy is basically "don't be an asshole" rather than any curated look. The crowd skews younger and more experimental than Berghain, and you'll often find live acts mixed in with the DJs.

Another solid option is Mensch Meier, which is even more laid back and feels like a house party in a basement. It's in Wedding, a bit out of the way, but the drinks are cheap and no one cares what you're wearing. Just be prepared for cash-only at the bar and a lot of concrete.

Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
