Hi all,

I have 4 big IKEA bags full of clothes my wife and I don't use anymore and I wish to sell them. They are all in good condition, and I want to sell them for a cheap price. Do you know any place I could sell them all in a batch?

I'm refraining from Vinted as I'd need to categorize too many items and pack multiple shipping to different places, also I don't want to bargain, I just want to sell it all at once. Anything that isn't worth any price, I'd just donate it with no problem.

Recommendations are very much appreciated! Thank you!

Check out the flea market at Boxhagener Platz on Sundays, you can rent a last minute spot for pretty cheap and just dump everything on a blanket. People there love digging through bulk clothes and you'll probably sell most of it by noon.

You could try selling them as a lot on Kleinanzeigen, just take a few photos of the open bags and list them for maybe 50-80 euro. People who run secondhand stalls at flea markets like Mauerpark or Nowkoelln often buy bulk lots like that to sort through themselves. Just be clear in the description that you're not separating items and it's pickup only from your place. If no one bites after a week, drop the rest off at a Sozialkaufhaus like FairKauf in Moabit, they take everything and it's tax deductible.

Honestly, for that much volume, try talking to one of the vintage kilo stores like Humana or Vinokilo. They sometimes buy bulk lots directly if the quality is decent, just call ahead and ask if they're taking private stock right now. Saves you the hassle of dealing with individual buyers.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
