Since you've already got the standard spots covered, try Vapiano. I know it's a chain, but hear me out. The one near Hackescher Markt makes their lasagna fresh in front of you and the pasta sheets are actually from Italy, not pre-packaged. It's around 10 euro and you can watch them layer it, which is kind of fun. Not the most authentic but consistently good and way better than the frozen stuff most places serve.

try the one at sapore d'italia in neukölln on weserstraße, it's a bit off the tourist path. they do a vegetarian lasagna with spinach and ricotta that actually has flavor, not just bland cheese mush. the owner is from naples and makes the pasta sheets by hand in the back, you can see him through the little window. around 12 euro and comes with a small salad

honestly the best lasagna ive had in berlin is at trattoria a casa in friedrichshain. its this tiny italian spot on warschauer strasse, family run, and they do a proper ragù thats been simmering all day. the bechamel is actually creamy not just a floury mess. its around 14 euro for a portion which is fair for the quality. their tiramisu is also solid if u have room

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
