Any good English speaking therapists in the Berlin/Potsdam area?

Preferably if they have a students only price but if not then I'll just have to make do. Preferably if they have a students only price but if not then I'll just have to make do.

If you're at the Uni Potsdam, their psychosoziale Beratung near the Neues Palais campus has English-speaking counselors for short-term sessions, and it's free for enrolled students. For longer therapy, the Kolpinghaus in Potsdam has a few therapists offering sliding scale spots, around 25-40 euros per session, and they're used to international students. I'd also try the VHS in Babelsberg for their mental health referral service, they keep a local list that's more current than the big online portals.

another option is the berliner institut fur psychotherapie near savignyplatz, they have a waiting list but take english patients and the student rate is like 25-30 euro a session. for potsdam specifically there's a practice called praxis am luisenplatz that has two english therapists last i checked, one does a sliding scale down to 35 euro if you show your student id. also worth emailing the psychotherapeutenkammer brandenburg directly instead of just using their search, they sometimes have a list of people taking new patients they don't put online

honestly the waiting list situation is rough right now for english therapists even if you have public insurance. if u have tk or aok you can call their hotline and they'll help find someone within 2 weeks by law, but those therapists might not be longterm. for student pricing without insurance the psychotherapeutenkammer website has a list of people doing "ausbildungstherapie" which is like 20-35 euro per session depending on your income. also worth checking if your uni has a psychosoziale beratungsstelle, they often do short term therapy in english for free

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
