Where we are living sadly there's not a lot of vegan food options, so really looking forward to eat some amazing vegan food!

There are SO MANY vegan restaurants on google, so tell me your MUST EAT dinners (and breakfast too!)

Tysm everyone!

Berlin's vegan scene is genuinely next-level, you're in for a treat. For dinner, I'd say hit up Kopps in Mitte, they do a set menu that changes with the seasons and it's the kind of place that could convince anyone vegan food isn't a compromise. For breakfast, Brammibal's Donuts in Neukölln is the obvious move, their savory options like the chick'n and waffle sandwich are actually better than the donuts in my opinion, and that's saying something since the donuts are incredible.

If you want something more casual for dinner, try Let It Be in Prenzlauer Berg, it's a burger place that uses seitan patties and the whole menu is vegan. The "Chick'n" burger there is dangerously good, and their fries with truffle mayo are a solid side.

if you're looking for a proper sit-down dinner that feels fancy but not stuffy, try kopps in mitte. they do a seasonal set menu that really shows off what vegan cooking can be, and the space itself is gorgeous. for a more casual vibe, 1990 vegan living in x-berg does korean-inspired stuff like kimchi fried rice and bao buns that are legit addictive.

for breakfast, brammibal's donuts in neukölln is the obvious choice but honestly their savory stuff like the chick'n waffle sandwich is better than the donuts. if you want something lighter, feel the berry in prenzlauer berg has solid açai bowls and a nice relaxed atmosphere. just don't sleep on the cheesecake bowl there, it's dangerously good.

honestly you have to hit up 1990 vegan living in x-berg for dinner. it's this tiny spot that does korean-inspired stuff like kimchi fried rice and these insane jackfruit bao buns. i'd go early or expect a wait, it's popular for a reason.

for breakfast, try feel the berry in prenzlauer berg. their açai bowls are solid but the real move is the "cheesecake" bowl with cashew cream and berries. casual spot, good for a chill morning before exploring.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
