Korean spots with vegan options?

Hey!

Essentially, the title lol.

Would prefer the place to have meat options too - any suggestions?

honestly for korean food with vegan options that also does meat, try Kimchi Princess near Hermannplatz. their bibimbap comes with tofu instead of egg if you ask, and my carnivore friends always get the bulgogi. not the cheapest but the portions are solid

another one is Seoul Kitchen on Warschauer, they have a separate vegan menu section but also do fried chicken. the japchae is good there, just tell them no egg. gets busy on weekends tho so maybe go early

If you're near Charlottenburg, try Goong on Kantstrasse. Their stone bowl bibimbap comes with a side of gochujang on the table so you can control the heat, and they'll swap the egg for extra veg if you ask. The table next to me was demolishing the bulgogi last time I was there so the meat eaters won't be left out. They're open late too, kitchen runs until 10pm most nights.

mannam on krossener strasse in friedrichshain does a really good vegan kimbap and their kimchi jjigae is plant based already, but they also have the classic pork dishes. small spot though, only like 6 tables so u might wait. the owner is korean and makes the kimchi herself which is nice

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
