tbh you gotta check out about blank on a friday or saturday, they often have solid house bookings with a more raw vibe than the big clubs. if you're into disco the more specific stuff, Mensch Meier sometimes has those early evening parties where it's less about the heavy kick drum and more about the groove. also keep an eye on Renate's program, they mix in disco sets fairly often too, just check their insta before heading out
For proper house, you should check what's on at ://about blank on a Sunday. They often have afternoon-to-night house parties that slide into disco as the evening goes on, and the vibe is way more relaxed than the weekend chaos. If you want something smaller, Suicide Circus has a solid Funktion-One system and books house DJs pretty regularly, plus it's right next to Warschauer so easy to hop between spots. I'd avoid Watergate for house specifically, it tends to lean more tech-house these days and the door policy can be unpredictable.
yeah if you want proper house definitely check out golden gate, it's tiny and grungy but the music is always on point and they stay open til like noon the next day. also sysiphos sometimes has good disco-adjacent stuff in their smaller rooms, just get there early cause the queue can be brutal

solid breakdown, i'd add that the Schöneberg mention is spot-on but the guide leaves out how good the U1 line is for getting around. from Nollendorfplatz you're at Warschauer Strasse in like 10 minutes and Kottbusser Tor in maybe 6, so you can hit both Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain without a transfer. my partner and i stayed near Akazienstrasse last year and paid 95 a night for a quiet room with a balcony, way better value than anything in Mitte. the Akazienstrasse itself has a couple of great italian delis and a small cinema that shows english-language films, worth a lazy afternoon
