How to find free Acroyoga Jams?
I've been googling, looking on… Been searching a lot already online, but can't find any free jams, as in, just people meeting up once a week to do some acroyoga without everyone having fixed partners
I've been googling, looking on meetup and then there's some facebook group but all I ever find are paid classes, or min 5€ donation based (but I'm kinda broke and wanna do it every week)
My question is also about how to find really anything in Berlin, cause I feel like since I moved here every time I'm like "I wanna do Improv theatre!" or something I have no idea how to find these things here and it's always like some hardcore detective work lol
tbh the free scene is mostly on instagram stories and whatsapp groups now. check "berlin_acroyoga" on insta and look at who they follow, that's how you find the people running the tempelhofer sessions. the 5 euro donation thing is usually just to cover a space heater in winter, but the summer ones on the grass are genuinely free
for finding anything in berlin honestly you gotta get past the public platforms. every hobby has one weird facebook group from 2014 that still posts events, one telegram channel with 200 people, and a discord server nobody talks about. ask a random person at the thing you find and they'll add u to the actual group chat where everything gets organized
What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?
Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.
if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point
honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
