Does anyone know an Eisladen where you can get waldmeister flavor in vegan?

I randomly went to Agnoli Eis in Mainz the other day and was shocked when they had vegan waldmeister. As someone who has become lactose intolerant after childhood, and though they could never (responsibly) genieß waldmeister again, I'm on a mission to find it in Berlin.

It'll help make my first summer in Germany that much better! Danke!

if you're near friedrichshain, try eismanufaktur on boxhagener straße. they do a vegan waldmeister sorbet that's pretty solid, not a creamy base but it's got that sharp herbal kick. they're a small shop so flavors rotate but i've seen it there a few times this spring already. also check the freezer section at denn's biomarkt, some of the sorbet brands like janny's do a waldmeister that's vegan and you can stock up for summer

tbh your best bet for consistent vegan waldmeister is actually Eis mit Schlag on Pappelallee in Prenzlauer Berg. They make their own bases and rotate seasonal flavors, but they always have a waldmeister sorbet option that's accidentally vegan. it's a bit of a trek if you're not in the area but they post their daily flavors on instagram so you can check before heading over

also worth noting that many traditional Italian spots like Venezia on Kastanienallee will do a waldmeister granita in summer which is usually vegan since it's just sugar water and flavoring. not quite the same creamy texture but scratches the itch when you're desperate

It's not a dedicated Eisladen, but El Loco in Neukölln does a rotating selection of vegan flavors and they've had waldmeister before. They're on Weserstraße near the U8 Rathaus Neukölln stop. Worth checking their board before you queue up because they change flavors pretty often, but they're good about labeling everything clearly.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
