Niche perfume dupes in Berlin?

Might be a super odd question, anyone has experience buying either online or in physical shops good quality dupes of niche/luxury perfumes? Might be a super odd question, anyone has experience buying either online or in physical shops good quality dupes of niche/luxury perfumes?

there's a spot in Schöneberg called Düfte der Welt on Hauptstraße that's worth a look, they stock some of the lesser-known clone houses like Paris Corner and Maison Alhambra that you don't see everywhere. the owner's a bit dry but knows his stuff, prices are under 25 for most bottles. also if you're near Friedrichshain, check out the little shop on Boxhagener Straße near the Rewe, they have a shelf of random oil rollers that are surprisingly good for like 8 euros each, i got a pretty close version of Santal 33 there that fooled a friend

tbh there's a guy at Boxhagener Platz flea market on Sundays who sells vintage niche bottles and some decent clones. he's got a stall near the back, usually has a few testers out. found a dupe of Byredo's Gypsy Water there for like 15 euros that lasted longer than the real thing on me

also worth checking out the Turkish shops on Karl-Marx-Straße in Neukölln. couple of them stock Al Haramain and Rasasi, which do some really good takes on Tom Ford and Mancera stuff. the one near U-Bahn Grenzallee has a guy who actually knows his notes and can point you to the right ones

if you're buying online, I'd skip Amazon and go straight to the manufacturer's sites like Lattafa's own store. shipping's like a week from the UAE but you save like 5-10 euros per bottle compared to the resellers here

honestly Berlin's got some solid spots for this. try Parfümerie Akzente near Kottbusser Tor, they carry a bunch of Middle Eastern houses like Lattafa and Armaf that do really close dupes of stuff like Baccarat Rouge or Sauvage Elixir. they let you test everything and prices are like 20-30 euros instead of 200+

there's also a place called Duftmanufaktur in Prenzlauer Berg on Dunckerstraße, they do their own oils that smell super close to Tom Ford and Creed stuff. the owner's pretty chill and will talk u through what works. just don't expect 1:1 copies, more like 85-90% there for a fraction of the price

if you want online, check out Notino's Berlin warehouse, they ship fast and have a decent selection of the cheaper clone brands. just avoid the generic "perfume oil" shops near Zoo station, those are mostly trash

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
