Hey everyone,

I've got a 2 Adidas jerseys that I'd like to customize with names and numbers. I'm currently in Berlin and looking for recommendations on where I can get this done. Ideally, I'm looking for a place that does a professional job and uses high-quality materials.

Does anyone have any suggestions or experiences with specific shops in Berlin? Any advice on pricing or turnaround time would also be really helpful.

Thanks in advance!

There's a spot called Soccer King on Frankfurter Allee near Samariterstrasse that doesn't get mentioned much. They do both heat press and stitched work, and the owner used to work for Hertha's fan shop so he knows the sizing exactly right for Adidas jerseys. I went there for an old Deutschland kit and the stitched lettering was 35 euro, took about four days. They speak English too if that matters, and they're cash only so bring notes.

you could try kickz on tauentzienstrasse near wittenbergplatz, they do in-store printing at the back of the shop and it's 20 euro flat for names and numbers using the same vinyl adidas supplies to their retailers. took about 45 minutes when i went on a wednesday afternoon. the staff there are pretty clued up on jersey sizing too so they'll help you get the placement right, just don't expect them to do stitched work because they only do heat press

If you're near the center, try Fussball Shop Berlin on Kantstrasse in Charlottenburg. They use the official Adidas heat press vinyl and charge about 18 euro per jersey, turnaround is usually same day if you drop it off in the morning. I've had a couple done there and the numbers held up fine through multiple washes, just make sure to wash them inside out. They also do the Bundesliga sleeve patches if you're going for that authentic look.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
