I'm looking to do Masters in a Cyber Security program in Berlin, but am confused between IU and SRH??

IU or SRH? IU or SRH?

The real difference is what happens after graduation. SRH has stronger industry connections in Berlin's tech scene through their career center and regular company visits, so you'll find more networking opportunities for internships at places like SAP or Deutsche Telekom. IU's name recognition is solid but their career services are more generic since they're built for a nationwide online model. If you can handle the structured schedule and don't mind commuting to the SRH campus near the Spree, their hands-on labs and smaller cohort make it easier to build a portfolio employers actually look at.

Both are private universities so you're paying either way, but they focus differently. SRH is more traditional and structured with smaller classes, their cyber security program has a practical lab component that students seem to like. IU is fully online or hybrid with a lot of flexibility, good if you need to work while studying. I'd look at what kind of accreditation matters for your career goals and check if you'd prefer the campus vibe near Prinzenstraße at SRH versus IU's more digital setup.

one thing nobody mentioned yet - check if you actually need the on-campus experience. srh has strict attendance policies, you gotta show up to those labs near prinzenstraße or they'll mark you absent. iu lets you rewatch lectures whenever, which is clutch if youre working at a startup in mitte or something. also look at the thesis options, srh requires a full written thesis with a defense while iu lets you do a project-based one if you're more hands on. depends on what kind of stress you want tbh

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
