Clubs like the old "White Trash"?

Hi! Are there any clubs like the old white trash fast food right now? Went there a lot when it was still at schönhauser and missing this alternative/indie cellar vibe. Hi! honestly that specific mix of indie, trash and cellar is hard to find now. closest i can think of is 8mm bar on schönhauser still, small, loud, rocknroll crowd, sometimes dj sets that lean indie. also check what's happening at køpi or bei ruth in kreuzberg if u want the grimy basement feel, tho the music is more punk/hardcore. white trash's old spot is a sushi place now btw, kinda sad

One angle nobody's mentioned: the old White Trash was as much about the door and the food as the music, that whole eat-then-stumble-downstairs thing. For something in that spirit, Rosa Rot on Revaler Str. does vegan fast food up front with a tiny bar and dance floor behind it, and the bookings lean indie and garage on weekends. It's not a clone, but it's the closest thing to that "dinner turns into a night out" flow you used to get at Schönhauser. Just don't expect the same crowd, it's younger and more Friedrichshain these days.

If you're chasing that specific mix of indie and messy cellar energy, I'd look at what SO36 is doing on their off nights rather than the big punk shows everyone knows them for. They still run indie and new wave parties in the smaller room downstairs and the crowd skews older, people who were going out in the 2000s. Also worth checking is Monarch on Skalitzer, the basement there has low ceilings and they book garage and indie DJs fairly regularly. Neither is a White Trash clone but the door policy is relaxed and you won't get the Berghain-style queue drama.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
