Is it possible to set up a bouncy castle for a birthday party of 4 year old next to a playground in Heidelberg Germany?

My daughter wants a bouncy castle. Is it possible to set up a castle for a few hours in public area in Germany? What should I know extra about it, permissions, rules?

another option is to check if there's a verein near the playground that rents out their space for parties, sometimes they have a small garden or hall and they're way more relaxed about this stuff than the city. also, if you're just putting the castle on grass next to the playground and not blocking anything, some parents just do it and hope nobody complains, but it's a gamble

honestly depends on which playground in heidelberg. some are managed by the city, some by the bezirk. the stadt heidelberg website has a form for "sondernutzung öffentlicher flächen" - that's what you need. costs around 30-50 euros for a day, but they'll want proof of haftpflichtversicherung for the castle itself. also keep in mind the playground might have a lärmbelästigung rule after 8pm even if it's a saturday. if it's near altstadt or neugasse, good luck getting permission, those are packed with complaints

if you're set on the playground route, check if there's a freibad or a bürgerhaus nearby that rents out their green space for parties. the heidelberg stadtwerke sometimes have areas you can book for way less hassle than the playground permit. also, make sure the castle has a proper anchor system, the grass in heidelberg parks is not as flat as it looks and a gust of wind can turn it into a tumbleweed situation. liability insurance is a must either way, the haftpflicht for a day rental is usually included if you rent from a local party shop near bahnstadt

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
