Good decaf coffee beans from local roasters?

For medical reasons, I have to cut out almost all caffeine. Tragically this means I have to switch to decaf coffee, which means starting the search for a good roast all over.

So, any recommendations for decaf beans from a local roaster? (for drip coffee)

I am a bit particular, but I'm willing to try new things. Generally I prefer lighter roasts with fruity notes, and I've particularly enjoyed coffee from Ethiopia. My dream would be to find a single-origin Ethiopian roast, but what I've found so far in decaf has been blends, or from Brazil/Colombia. I've been mostly buying from Coffee Circle for the last few years, and while I am going to try their offerings in decaf I'd like to branch out.

I'd check out Cafe Voz in Kreuzberg, they do a single-origin decaf from Guatemala that's processed with sugarcane instead of chemicals, so it keeps a lot of the brightness. Not Ethiopian, but it's got this clean citrus thing that might work for you. They roast in small batches and sell at their shop on Oranienstrasse, usually around 12-14 euro for 250g.

Yeah, Bonanza has a solid decaf that's lighter than most - not Ethiopian but it's got that bright, fruity thing going on. You could also try The Barn, they do a single-origin decaf now and then but it sells out fast.

honestly, check out Fjord Coffee, they've got a washed decaf from Colombia that's pretty light and clean, not your typical dark decaf. also, Populus Coffee in Neukolln sometimes carries a nice single-origin decaf from Peru if you ask, they rotate their stock a lot

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
