yooo pulling up to berlin, who can hook me up with some weed?

and what else u got lol and what else u got lol

honestly the weed scene here is pretty hit or miss depending on where u land. if u're near kreuzberg or neukölln, just walk around görlitzer park, someone'll approach u, but quality's a gamble. better to ask around at a späti late night, the guys behind the counter usually know a plug, just don't be flashy about it.

other than that, berlin's got way more to offer. hit up a kiez bar like wendel in neukölln for cheap drinks and weird locals, or grab a döner at rüyam near hermannplatz, that's my go-to after a long day. if u're into art, the urban nation museum is underrated, way less crowded than the typical tourist spots. and for a random weekday, check out a techno basement somewhere in friedrichshain, but bring earplugs, trust me.

The whole "ask at a späti" thing works, but timing matters. Late night after 1am, the guys are more chill, daytime they'll just shrug you off. If you're near Warschauer Strasse, the corner spots around there are decent for getting pointed the right way, just don't linger.

But honestly, if the weed thing drags, roll with it. Hit up Klunkerkranich on top of the Neukölln Arkaden parking garage, it's a rooftop bar with a killer view of the city, cheap beer, and a mixed crowd. Or go to the Tempelhofer Feld and just lie in the grass, it's an old airport turned park, people skate, grill, fly kites, it's the most Berlin thing you can do for free. And for a late night snack that isn't a döner, try a currywurst at a place like Witty's in Schöneberg, they do a proper one with actual sausage, not that boiled nonsense.

hit up the raw tempel on a sunday if u want live music without the pretension, it's a squatted warehouse thing but super welcoming, bring cash for the bar. for food, don't sleep on the vietnamese spots in lichtenberg, like quy hoan near the frankfurter allee station, the pho is legit and cheap, way better than the touristy places. and if u got time, take the s7 out to potsdam for a day, the sanssouci gardens are free-ish and the vibe is totally different from the city chaos, nice reset.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
