FEX not running?

I have to fly early tomorrow morning. Is the FEX not running at the moment? I can't see it's normal schedule I have to fly early tomorrow morning. Is the FEX not running at the moment? I can't see it's normal schedule

Check the VBB app instead, it shows real time disruptions better than DB. FEX has been having signal issues around Gesundbrunnen lately, so it's often delayed or cancelled before 6am. If you're near Ostbahnhof, the RE7 is more reliable and drops you right at Terminal 1.

yeah the FEX is notoriously unreliable for early morning stuff. you're better off checking the DB Navigator app for the current status, it updates faster than the website. if it's cancelled, the RE7 or RB14 still get you to the airport, just takes about 15 mins longer. S-Bahn is also running if you're coming from the city center, just switch at Ostkreuz

FEX is hit or miss that early, especially since they've been doing track work near the Ringbahn intersection. If you're near Hauptbahnhof or Friedrichstraße, the S9 is another option that goes direct to Schönefeld and BER, though it makes more stops. The BVG app shows real-time S-Bahn and U-Bahn info better than DB for those early slots.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
