Good tailor for repairing jeans?

I don't have a go to tailor and it seems like the quality variety seems to vary greatly depending on who does the mending. Any Tailor you had good experiences before? there's a spot in neukölln called Änderungsschneiderei am Richardplatz that i've been going to for years. it's not the cheapest at around 25 euro for a full inseam repair but the guy does chainstitching which is rare for a regular tailor. he also reinforced the pocket bags on my carhartts for free once because he said the fabric was wearing thin. cash only and they're closed on wednesdays

honestly, check out hermannplatz, there's a place called Änderungsschneiderei Krüger on schönstedtstraße. they're not fancy but the woman there has been doing repairs for like 30 years and she'll tell you straight up if something's not worth fixing. i brought in a pair with a ripped belt loop and she reinforced all of them for 12 euro while i waited, took maybe 20 minutes. cash only and they close at 6pm sharp

Try Aenderungsschneiderei Schulz on Pappelallee in Prenzlauer Berg. They do a lot of denim repair and the older guy there used to work in a jeans factory back in the 80s, so he knows his way around a sewing machine. I had them fix a torn pocket and reattach a button for 18 euro, and they had it done in two days. It's a small shop tucked between a bakery and a späti, easy to miss.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
