But due to the circumstances of life, they have certain behavioral and temperamental issues and get into a lot of fights and display aggressive behavior.

As someone who is a long time admirer and enthusiast of martial arts, I'm convinced that if they are introduced to it the right way, it will possibly be the thing that puts them on a path towards their best self and best life, instead of potentially going down a very dark road.

There seems to be a lot of hoops to jump through before the government will consider paying for their classes, but I've already found someone who is willing to sponsor this. So the main thing now is to find the right coach.

A strong, wise, experienced, empathetic sensei ;]

And since I know they have discipline issues too, the introduction, as well as the overall attitude of the coach going forward, will make or break this whole thing. It needs to be someone or some place that will know how to deal with kids like that and inspire love for the arts and not push them away from it.

So with all that said, if you know a person or a school like that, please do holla! Thanks!

i'd look at vereine over commercial schools for this. berliner sportvereine like the ones under the Landessportbund get funding specifically for sozial benachteiligte jugendliche, which could shortcut some of ur government paperwork. try SV Empor or a judo verein in neukölln or wedding, they often already run integration programs for kids from heimen. the vibe is way less mcdojo and more patient, which sounds like exactly what these boys need

honestly for teenage boys with aggression stuff, boxing might land better than traditional martial arts at first. there's a place called Boxgirls in Kreuzberg that does exactly this kind of work with kids from tough situations, and they're really good at channeling that energy instead of just suppressing it. downside is they're pretty booked and mostly girls focused, but they can probably point you to a coach who works with boys too. also worth checking Karame in Neukölln, they do martial arts plus social work combo and know the foster system well.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
