Where to get stickers with German writing?

I'm visiting some friends in the US soon and one of them requested cool stickers from Berlin, anything from graffiti tags to German slogans, etc. I figured I'll bring some "Nett Hier" ones of course,… I'm visiting some friends in the US soon and one of them requested cool stickers from Berlin, anything from graffiti tags to German slogans, etc. I figured I'll bring some "Nett Hier" ones of course, but is there a shop or Wochenmarkt stall in Berlin where I could pick out a wider variety?

If you're near U Hermannplatz, the little record shop called Oye Records has a basket by the register with stickers from local bands, clubs, and random Berlin artists. They're usually a euro each and you'll find stuff like "Rave in Peace" or old Tresor logos mixed in with political slogans. Another option is the shop at Urban Spree, they have a small rack near the entrance with stickers from the artists who paint the gallery walls, plus some "Fuck the Berlin Wall" style ones.

honestly, the best random sticker haul i've got was from the little record shop "space hall" near u-bhf schönhauser allee. they have a box by the turntables full of stickers from the bands they stock, plus some weird berlin inside jokes and "berliner schnauze" slogans. just ask the guy at the counter, he'll usually let you dig through it for a donation or a euro each.

for something less music-focused, try the "buchstabenmuseum" gift shop near hauptbahnhof. they sell some typography stickers with german words and old berlin shop signs, plus they have those classic "bück dich" and "berlin tut weh" ones that tourists usually miss. not the cheapest but they're unique.

if you're near a dm or rossmann, check the random section near the checkout. sometimes they have little packs of "berlin" stickers with generic german phrases like "alles gut" or "tschüss" that are actually kinda cute and cheap. i grabbed a few packs for like 2 euros each last time

Head to the Bikini Berlin concept store near Zoo station, the little shop called "Berliner Zinnfiguren" inside has a surprising selection of Berlin themed stickers mixed in with their old tin toys and postcards. For something more underground, walk down to the RAW Gelande on Revaler Strasse and find the "Suicide Circus" kiosk, they sell stickers from the club nights and local graf artists for a euro or two. The Mauerpark flea market is solid but you'll find more variety and less touristy stuff at the smaller Sunday flea market at Boxhagener Platz, there's a guy with a table near the Kindl center who has stacks of stickers from Berlin punk bands and political collectives.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
