We already have a group where we play casually in larger groups, but we wanted to train more as a pair. For info: we are a man/ woman pair and we play intermediate to high intermediate level.

if u want something more low key than the liga thing, look at the sand courts at strandbad wannsee, they do a mixed 2v2 abendrunde in summer and you can just register as a duo, no relegation drama. level skews a bit older & more tactical than tempelhof, lots of ex-club players who stopped doing the whole verein grind. signup usually opens late april, i think its like 60-70 euro per pair for the season, and they actually give you a fixed court slot each week so you can drill before matches

There are a few options for fixed pairs in Berlin. BeachMitte at the Nordbahnhof runs mixed 2v2 leagues on weekday evenings, and they actually let you register as a standing pair for the whole season. Check the notice boards at Beach 61 in Kreuzberg too, lots of intermediate pairs post there looking for sparring partners at similar level. For serious pair training, the courts at Tempelhofer Feld get busy but the crowd there is generally open to arranged matches if you show up consistently.

The VSV (Volleyball Sport Vereinigung) runs a mixed 2v2 training session on Sunday mornings at the sand courts near the Spree in Treptower Park, and you can register as a fixed pair for a season rather than rotating partners each week. It's less competitive than the Beach-Liga but the level is solidly intermediate, and the coaches actually give feedback on pair-specific stuff like serve receive positioning and blocking calls. Registration opens in early spring through their website, and Sunday mornings mean the courts aren't a zoo like Tempelhof on a Saturday. Worth a look if you want structured pair training without committing to a full league schedule.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
