Do we have to stay together for BVG group ticket to work?

I'm wondering if I could buy the 24h ticket group ticket in the BVG app and send the qr code screenshot to my friends so they can show it indepentently. How likely is it to be a problem in case of ticket control?

technically the ticket is for one person to hold, not four separate screenshots. the fine is 60 eur per person if they catch u. id just buy two 24h single tickets for the times you split and one group ticket for when you're all together, it's cheaper than risking it. kontrolleurs in berlin are pretty sharp about checking the actual device with the ticket, screenshots of group tickets are a dead giveaway

yeah the screenshot thing is a gamble tbh. the official rule is the ticket has to be on one device and the group has to stay together, so four separate phones with the same qr is technically invalid. i've seen kontrolleurs in u-bahn stations like alexanderplatz specifically ask to see the app animation to verify it's live, not a screenshot. if you're splitting for just an hour or two, maybe grab the 4-fahrten karte for the individuals, each strip is good for 2 hours of travel and you can hand them out

honestly it's prob not worth the risk. the kontrolleurs check the timestamp on the app itself, not just the QR code, so a screenshot will look sus. if you split up just buy separate single tickets for that leg, it's like 3.50 a pop

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
