What's a green clean(ish) place in Berlin that is not gentrified/particularily expensive and not over 30 min from the center?

I've been checking out the different spots of Berlin for four years by now. I live in a rather quiet chill flat in Tempelhof but it's not exactly green (I hate the Tempelhofer Feld, I'm more a forest and lake kinda person). And I don't feel comfortable in a very rich kiez, it feels like I stick out like a sore thumb (I probably do less due to my poorness and more because I'm goth, but ey).

But North East is super-green, super-far away and super-pricey. Similar situation in Wannsee (tho it has its affordable flats and I really kinda like it, just weirdly always something going on at its S-Bahn late at night). What is the place you'd really recommend for someone always on the look for some green scenery and clean air? "A village" doesn't count. :b I live here so it's nice to have a few little trips and maybe even find friends in those districts.

I was thinking of checking out Reinickendorf and not as usual just go to Grunewald this week. Maybe there's a better bet. :)

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
