I recently heard about this service called LYVY (lyvy.de) from a friend who used it for his prostate and testicular prevention blood test. He had a really positive experience with them, and it got me intrigued.

I'm considering giving it a try with a full check-up (https://www.lyvy.de/service/inspection), but before I wanted to ask if anyone here has any experience with them? I've looked into a few other startups offering similar services, but LYVY seems to stand out for me with their medical background since they work together with "real" doctors.

Has anyone else here tried LYVY or have any insights on similar services in Berlin? I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences before I make a decision. Thanks in advance for any input!

I used LYVY about six months ago for the basic check, not the full inspection. The process was smooth enough, you book online and go to a lab near Rosenthaler Platz. My results came back in about four days, which was faster than I expected. The doctor follow-up was just a ten minute video call, felt a bit rushed but they answered my questions. For the price, around 150 euros, it's decent if you want specifics without waiting weeks for a Hausarzt appointment. Just know the analysis is standardized, so if you have any weird symptoms you're better off seeing someone in person at a place like Praxis am Mehringdamm.

my partner did the prostate check through lyvy, thought it was fine for the price but said the lab results were pretty generic. if you want thorough, try labor28 near frankfurter allee, they do similar stuff direct without the startup markup

yeah i tried lyvy a few months ago for the full inspection, not bad honestly. the lab pickup was at a place near alexanderplatz, super quick. main thing i'd say is the results are good for baseline stuff but if you have anything specific, like a history of issues, go to a proper hausarzt first. i ended up going to my regular doc after anyway cause lyvy flagged something minor and she wanted to redo it herself

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
