Best gay bars or clubs in Berlin?

if u're around on a friday or saturday night, the "pornceptual" parties at various venues are worth checking out. it's more of a queer art rave, people get really into costumes, very body positive. also "die wohnam" in friedrichshain does a monthly queer flea market during the day, then turns into a low key bar at night, great for meeting people without the club pressure. and don't skip the "südblock" in kreuzberg on a sunday evening, it's tiny but they play everything from disco to balkan beats, very mixed crowd, feels like a house party.

u should def check out the golden gate near moritzplatz, it's this tiny back alley bar that feels like a secret, super mixed crowd and the door guy is a legend if u're chill. also the kitschy but iconic "gloria" in mitte does this weird sunday afternoon thing that's more like a living room party, cheap drinks and people actually talk to u. and if u're up for a trek, the "monster ronson's" in kreuzberg has a basement that turns into a proper dance pit on fridays, way less instagram than the big spots

fwiw if you're here on a sunday, the afternoon party at Gegen is where the locals actually go. it's a smaller queer space in Neukölln, more of a daytime thing, and you get this mix of old school leather guys and younger art kids. the sound system is proper and the lighting is weird in a good way. also, if you're into karaoke, the Triste in Schöneberg does this chaotic queer karaoke night on thursdays, super fun if you want to sing badly with strangers.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
