Which option of Deutsche Bank is the saving account?

Disclaimer: I don't speak German. I am using the Deutsche Bank webpage and I would like to know which option/section is the saving account, or whatever is called the option to make a fixed deposit. Am I not finding this option because I am using the English version of the website and it can only be done with the German version?

Also, is there a better option than a fixed deposit? Better in the sense of having a bigger payoff. Thank you very much.

you're probably looking for "Tagesgeld" or "Festgeld" on the german site. tagesgeld is the flexible savings account, festgeld is fixed deposit. the english version often hides these under "savings" or "investments" but the translation is clunky.

tbh, deutsche bank isn't great for savings. their interest rates are low. check out something like N26 or DKB for a better return, or even Trade Republic which offers around 4% on uninvested cash rn. those are all in english too.

if you really want a fixed deposit, festgeld is the term. you pick a term length (like 1 year) and lock in a rate. but with current rates, a flexible tagesgeld account at a different bank might actually pay more without locking you in.

The English version of the Deutsche Bank site really does hide things. You want "Festgeld" for a fixed deposit, which sometimes shows up as "term deposit" under the investment section rather than savings. The German version is clearer because they keep the product names separate.

For a better payoff, skip Deutsche Bank entirely for savings. Trade Republic and ING both offer around 3-4% on Tagesgeld right now with full English support, and you can withdraw anytime. A 12-month Festgeld at Deutsche Bank might give you 2.5% if you're lucky, which is worse than what you get at a Fintech without locking your money up.

yeah the english version of their site buries stuff, you want "Tagesgeldkonto" for a flexible savings account with interest, not a fixed deposit. for better payoff you're better off with an online bank like N26 or DKB, they usually offer better rates than Deutsche Bank. check check24 or similar for current rates, they change often.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
