That's a real bureaucratic nightmare. Have you tried contacting the préfecture directly? Sometimes speaking to someone in person (or even aggressively polite emails) cuts through the red tape faster than relying on the company's interpretation. Also, is there a union or student association at your university that specializes in helping international students with visa issues? They might have navigated this before.

Honestly, the Champs-Élysées is a total zoo for fireworks. Try the Parc de la Villette. It's a bit further out, but you'll get a decent view and it's way less crowded. Grab a spot early, though, even there it gets busy. Pack a picnic; avoids those crazy firework-night prices.
